Burners can be divided into pulverized coal burners, oil burners and gas burners according to different fuels. Burner is also called burner, which can be divided into oil burner and gas burner according to fuel; It is divided into kiln burner and boiler burner according to the object of use; According to the application field, it can be divided into industrial burner, civil burner and special burner. Among them, fuel oil burners are divided into light oil (such as diesel) and heavy oil burners (such as waste oil), and gas burners are divided into natural gas burners, liquefied gas burners, city gas burners, biogas burners, etc. The burner we usually say refers to the boiler burner.

Pulverized coal burner

There are two types: swirl type and direct flow type.

① Swirl pulverized coal burner: it is mainly composed of primary air cyclone, secondary air regulating baffle (swirl blade or volute) and primary and secondary air nozzles (Fig. 1 swirl pulverized coal burner). It can be arranged on the front wall, two side walls or front and rear walls of the combustion chamber. The air conveying pulverized coal is called primary air, which accounts for about 15 ~ 30% of the total air volume required for combustion. The pulverized coal air mixture is injected into the combustion chamber through the primary air nozzle of the burner. Another part of the air required for combustion is called secondary air. After the secondary air passes through the regulating baffle (swirl blade or volute) of the burner, it forms a rotating air flow, which is combined with the primary air at the outlet of the burner to form a rotating jet. The negative pressure formed in the center of the jet entrains the high-temperature flue gas to the root of the flame. This part of high-temperature flue gas is the main heat source of pulverized coal ignition. The diffuser cone at the primary air outlet can increase the diffusion angle of the primary air to strengthen the entrainment of high-temperature flue gas.

② Once through pulverized coal burner: it is generally composed of several groups of primary and secondary air nozzles arranged along the height (Fig. 2 once through pulverized coal burner), which is arranged at each corner of the combustion chamber. The center line of the burner is tangent to an imaginary circle in the center of the combustion chamber, so a horizontally rotating updraft can be formed in the combustion chamber. The primary and secondary air nozzles of each group of once through burners are distributed to meet the requirements of stable and complete combustion of different coals. Sometimes, it is also considered to reduce the generation of nitrogen oxides.

Oil burner
The fuel oil burner mainly adopts atomization technology. The atomization principle of KMY bubble atomization burner is: a large number of oil in oil bubbles are generated by the fuel oil and atomizing medium (water vapor or compressed air) through the bubble atomizer, which are sprayed after being fully mixed in the mixing chamber. Due to the high pressure difference, blasting atomization is realized. According to the laser detection of aero-engine aerodynamic and thermal Key Laboratory of national defense science and technology, the average diameter SMD of atomized particles is ≤ 23.76 μ m. This is not achieved by general pneumatic atomization and mechanical atomization nozzles. It is a new fuel atomization combustion technology.

In addition to the swirl type and direct flow type similar to the pulverized coal burner, the air conditioner of the oil burner also has a partial swirl type, that is, a flame stabilizer is arranged in the direct flow air conditioner, so that a small amount of air (10 ~ 20%) flows through the flame stabilizer to produce rotary movement, and a central reflux area is formed at the outlet of the air conditioner to stabilize the oil mist ignition, so as to achieve low oxygen combustion.

Gas burner
There are mainly natural gas burner and blast furnace gas burner. Large capacity natural gas burners mostly adopt multi gun intake advection type. The natural gas gun is placed in the air passage of the air regulator. Due to the low calorific value of blast furnace gas and difficult ignition, blast furnace gas burner often burns in a hot channel and then injects it into the combustion chamber.

Bio-mass Fuel
In order to deeply study the combustion characteristics of biomass particulate fuel and explore the fuel adaptability of automatic burner, based on pb-20 biomass particulate burner, five kinds of particulate fuels with ash content less than 25% (air drying basis) were selected to study the effects of feed rate and air volume on combustion performance under combustion conditions. The test results show that the combustion efficiency of this kind of burner is less than 20%, the ash content of biomass is not sufficient, and the ash content is not stable; The recommended parameters for particulate fuel with ash content of 12.40% are feed rate of 4 kg / h, fan speed of 2600 ~ 2800 R / min, slag removal speed of 3 R / min, rotation for 5 S / stop for 35 s; The recommended control parameters for granular fuel with ash content of 7.21% are feed rate of 3 ~ 4 kg / h, fan speed of 2600 ~ 2800 R / min, slag removal speed of 3 R / min, rotating for 5 S / stopping for 60 ~ 55 s; For granular fuel with ash content less than 1%, the recommended parameters are feed rate of 3 ~ 4 kg / h, fan speed of 2600 ~ 2800 R / min and no slag removal. This study summarizes the applicable fuel control parameters of biomass particle burner, which provides data support for the popularization and application of burner.
